Having a Fun Night at the Science Center is the perfect way for your PTA, Corporation, Family Reunion or group to enjoy a fun, entertaining, and educational get-together unlike any other. Explore everything from the inner workings of the human body to the outer limits of the solar system and so much in between with these hands-on and interactive evenings at the Science Center of Iowa.
At SCI, the experience is yours and Fun Nights provide your group with access to SCI’s themed experience platforms, our Star Theater domed planetarium, and a variety of live programs and dynamic demonstrations. Customize your Fun Night with programs and activities that appeal to your group or let us choose for you based on the size and age of your group.
Experience the big picture at SCI and upgrade your Fun Night to include a film in SCI's Blank IMAX Dome Theater.
From swimming among thousands of golden jellyfish in Palau to speeding down the racetrack at the Daytona 500, experiencing an IMAX film makes you feel like you’re not just watching – you’re there!
Your group can at SCI arrive early to eat in The Food Chain Cafe or shop in the A-ha! Store before the evening begins to make sure you truly experience all SCI has to offer. Create memories, promote learning, and have fun with hands-on activities and interactive programs during a Science Center of Iowa Fun Night!
Fun Nights are available Thursday evenings throughout the year from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Each Fun Night includes up to 200 participants at the cost of $800. Additional participants are invited for $4.00 each. IMAX tickets can also be included for an additional $5.50 per person (some films may have additional charges).
