2009 WINTER CAMPS
Even when school is out, science is ALWAYS in session!
Send your students in Pre-K - Grade 5 to SCI's winter break science camps:
Monday, December 21 – Hibernating Animals
- Learn about burrows, dens and caves! Study animal habitats and build your own habitat out of clay. Take a hike through the woods to discover foot prints and sleeping environments.
Tuesday, December 22 – Winter Wonderland
- Discover Antarctica and the Arctic! Explore climate change & glaciers to polar bears & penguins. Play seasonal games and make winter crafts. Learn about the properties of ice and make an igloo.
Wednesday, December 23 – Jolly Science
- It’s party time! Design and a build toy, make your own paper and turn it into a card. Solve a cookie chemistry mystery, make an ornament and mix up recipes for delicious holiday treats.
SCHEDULE
7:30 – 8:30 am Extended Care
9:00 am – 4:00 pm Camp in Session
4:15 pm – 5:30 pm Extended care
COST
1 day of camp - $60 non-members/$50 members (includes lunch)
3 days of camp - $160 non-members/$130 members (includes lunch)
Extended care - $5 per session/per child/per day
