And they're coming to SCI!
The Science Center of Iowa will become the world premiere venue for a brand-new dinosaur traveling exhibition this summer! The Humongous Among Us: The World's Biggest Dinosaurs will open to the public for the first time anywhere on Saturday, May 24 inside SCI's Principal Hall.
This fossil exhibit features many rare and record-setting carnivores, such as a never-before-seen cast skull of a Mapusaurus, and a 42-ft. skeletal replica of the Giganotosaurus, a meat-eating dinosaur that is even larger than the T. rex!
You can also engage in hands-on activities such as weighing, measuring and estimating size of dinosaurs, making nutritional analyses, selecting food sources, and constructing scenarios for birth, development and survival.

To complete the dinosaur experience, SCI's Blank IMAX Dome Theater will feature the companion IMAX film Dinosaurs: Giants of Patagonia. This film uses never-before-seen computer generated footage to explore some of the greatest paleontological discoveries of modern time! The six-story IMAX dome screen will immerse audiences in an out-of-this-world landscape, from moving tectonic plates to the arrival of a comet that seals the fate of the dinosaurs for all time. The Humongous Among Us: The World's Biggest Dinosaurs and Dinosaurs: Giants of Patagonia will be open to the public Saturday, May 24 through Sunday, August 17.
