| Scope: |
This position is responsible for facilitating science-learning experiences during Overnight Adventures at the Science Center of Iowa and providing customer service to the Overnight Adventure participants. |
| Responsibilities: |
• Work Friday and Saturday evenings and overnights to present hands-on science activities for participating youth and their adult chaperones
• Assist with check-in of registered participants
• Assist with meals/snacks; serving and clean up
• Attend training sessions to learn the Overnight Adventure activities, as arranged by the Guided Learning Coordinator
• Provide customer service to the participating youth and their adult chaperones
• Other responsibilities /duties as assigned by the Guided Learning Coordinator

| Requirements: |
Education/Experience:
• High School or college course work in Education or Science-related fields
• General knowledge of science
• Previous experience working with youth
Skills:
• Enthusiastic, energetic
• Comfortable with public speaking
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Able to lift/move program equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Must uphold the values and integrity of the Science Center or Iowa as outlined in the SCI Employee Handbook
