| Scope: |
Persons in this position will excel at customer service and focus on merchandising the Aha! Gift Store. |
| Responsibilities: |
- Maintain a commitment to excellent customer service in gift store and in all areas of SCI
- Responsible for ensuring Aha! Gift Store is kept clean and visually appealing through creative and effective merchandising
- Will assist in ordering and checking in new product for shop
- Operate as “first line” of defense for all participant service related issues
- Reconcile cash register activity and P.O.S. systems
- Other duties as assigned

| Requirements: |
- Must have proven customer service experience
- Must have retail or sales experience
- Pleasant, outgoing personality
- The ability to work and interact well with the public
- Must be true team player
- Problem solver
- Accurate money handling skills
- Well groomed, clean, and presentable
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to lift 35 pounds (negotiable)
- Must uphold the values and integrity of the Science Center of Iowa
