As a fully accredited museum endorsed by both AAM and ASTC, the Science Center of Iowa has reached the highest level of national recognition. Its innovative and exciting programs also meet National Science Standards and support school curriculum.

SCI's interpretive team has a broad background in science. Their university degrees include earth science, environmental science, biology, anthropology, natural science interpretation, astronomy, physics, secondary science education and elementary education. SCI’s team is also trained not just in content, but in the best practices in interactive, inquiry-based learning.

All programs developed by SCI staff are reviewed for content accuracy by SCI's Science Advisory Committee, a panel of scientists, engineers and other professionals from Iowa universities, science and technology companies and research firms.
