  • Star Party at Ashton Observatory
  • 8:30 PM
  • Get out of town to get out of this world! Just a short drive away from Des Moines, this Star Party will be at Des Moines Astronomical Society’s Ashton Observatory in Mingo, IA.

As the sun sets, the observatory’s true dark sky will be the perfect backdrop for viewing of the Lyrid Meteor Shower. We’re sure to see a stellar show of meteors shooting across the sky, along with our Moon, Venus and Jupiter!

This event is free and open to the public.
