You Asked, We Listened. So What’s New in 2012?
Every year, SCI strives to improve our summer camp program based on feedback from campers and parents. New in 2012:
- Expanded iEARTH programming (a partnership between SCI and the City of Des Moines Parks and Recreation)
- Newly designed website to make gathering information about camps as easy as possible
- New camps for all age groups on a variety of engaging science subjects
- Pre-K and Kindergarten are now two separate groups (covering the same topics) to allow twice as many students to participate
- Weekly camp schedules, including all field trip information, emailed one week before camp and available on-site for parents and students
- Open house for parents EVERY Friday at the end of camp
- A continued effort to keep class sizes small and personalized
- Science is all around us, so let’s explore both inside and outside the classrooms! We'll get hands-on around SCI's experience platforms as well as outside.
SCI Camp Accessibility
You can contribute to SCI's Accessibility Fund and help send a child in need to camp! Consider adding a small tax-deductible donation to your registration.
What are families saying about SCI Summer Camps?
SCI is not a traditional 'summer camp.' The curriculum is all-inclusive and engaging - it is worth the money spent.
