Each assembly is available for up to 250 students and is approximately 45 minutes unless noted.

Boom!

Grades: K-8

Why do things explode?  We'll explore the interactions of pressure, temperature and states of matter to explain why things pop, bang or blow up.  Experiment with ultra-cold liquid nitrogen and combustible gases in this spectacular assembly.  Reinforces National Science Standards: Science as Inquiry and Physical Science.

Earth Plays Rough

Grades: 2-8

Witness the drama of natural disasters in this crash course on the moving and shaking of our planet, from severe weather to earthquakes and volcanoes.  Students will have a blast while gaining new knowledge of how Earth works.  Reinforces National Science Standards: Science as Inquiry, Earth and Space Science, and Science in Personal and Social Perspectives.

Push, Pull, Roll

Preschool-Grade 1 [30 minutes]

Simple machines are all around you, even in a playground!  Find out where else you can find them and jump right in to discover if they really do make work easier.  Reinforces National Science Standards: Science as Inquiry, Physical Science, and Science and Technology.

What's Inside You?

Preschool-Grade 1 [30 minutes]

We all may look different on the outside, but we're all pretty much the same on the inside.  See, touch and learn about the wonders of the human body.  Reinforces National Science Standards: Science as Inquiry, Life Science, and Science in Personal and Social Perspectives

Discovering Dinosaurs

What do you know about dinosaurs?  Put your knowledge to work as you identify different dinos and get hands-on with a fossil-find!  Reinforces National Science Standards: Science as Inquiry, Life Science, Earth and Space Science, and Science in Personal and Social Perspectives

Enter the Universe

Grades: PreK-1, 2-12 [30 minutes PreK-1, 45 minutes 2-12]

See the wonders of our galaxy from the comfort of your school! Students will explore the reaches of space in our portable planetarium.  See constellations and stars while listening to the stories of stellar mythology.  Reinforces National Science Standards: Earth and Space Science, Science in Personal and Social Perspectives, and History and Nature of Science.

From Rocks to Gemstones

Grades: 2-4 [45 min]

What makes a rock a rock?  Where do minerals come from?  Discover never-before-seen crystals, put our mineral samples to the test and find out about the rock cycle.  Reinforces National Science Standards: Science as Inquiry, Earth and Space Science, Science in Personal and Social Perspectives, and History and Nature of Science.

Robot Reality

Grades: 3-8 [45 min]

From factory floor to TV shows to the local toy store, robots are everywhere you look.  Simple and high-tech alike, we'll interact with real robots to see what they do and how they do it.  Reinforces National Science Standards: Physical Science, Science and Technology, and Science in Personal and Social Perspectives.
