Overnight Adventures

Spend an overnight at the museum exploring SCI after-hours! We welcome scouts, families, teachers, teams, retreats, small groups or large groups of 100+ for private overnights. Experience science behind the scenes for an evening of education and fun!

All Overnight Adventures include:

One private live science program suited to your group
One Star Theater planetarium show
One IMAX documentary film
Light snack in the evening
Time to explore SCI after dark
Continental breakfast in the morning
Free passes to stay the next day and explore SCI

*Pizza dinner can be purchased for an additional cost but must be eaten before 6:15 pm.

May 17-18: Cub Scouts STEM / Nova Award "Tech Talk" Module (open to all cub scouts, register through SCI as a pack, den or as an individual with a chaperone) – Badge Overnight – Spend the night at SCI and complete the Tech Talk module of the STEM / Nova Award. Enjoy the standard overnight offerings plus explore how technology affects your everyday life.
October 18-19: Private Camp Fire group
November 22-23: Cub Scouts STEM / Nova Award "Science Everywhere" Module (open to Mid-Iowa Counsel only) – Badge Overnight
