Summer of Making

It’s more than an exhibit… It’s a mindset!

Making celebrates those who tinker, build, experiment and collaborate. It's a way of thinking, of using familiar objects in unfamiliar ways, of focusing on the process rather than the end result. Spark your innovation and creativity this summer at SCI!

Our 2021 Summer of Making has these main features:

  • Makers Studio – This hands-on makerspace is open Wednesday through Sunday throughout the summer.
  • Spark On the Spot – Ignite your creativity and exercise your skills in innovation through experiences that occur during SCI’s regular open hours. Some will be scheduled, while others will pop up throughout the summer!
  • Spark Workshops – Foster creativity through innovation in expanded workshop experiences in June, July, and August.
  • Spark Classes – Apply innovative thinking to real-world applications in these extended classes just for middle schoolers!
