SCI to open U.S. premiere exhibit early, offer free admission for one day

The Science Center of Iowa (SCI) announced today that construction of its U.S. premiere exhibit, Tyrannosaurs: Meet the Family, is ahead of schedule and, thanks to funding from Voya, it will open the exhibit a day early and offer free admission on Friday, September 29.
"This is an incredibly unique opportunity," said Curt Simmons, SCI President and CEO. "Thanks to support from the Greater Des Moines community, we not only are able to host this U.S. premiere exhibit, but also can invite the public to experience it free of charge on opening day."
Tyrannosaurs: Meet the Family explores the 100-million-year history of the diverse dinosaurs and their lasting impact on our planet. Fossils, cast skeletons, interactive exhibit components, historical artifacts, cultural artifacts, immersive activities and a hands-on dig pit offer visitors a look at some of the greatest discoveries in paleontology.

Tyrannosaurs: Meet the Family was developed by the Australian Museum and is toured internationally by Flying Fish. Locally, the Presenting Sponsor is EMC Insurance Companies and Exhibit Partner is Nationwide.
