    • School/Group Traffic: MODERATE

Note to SCI Visitors: Please be aware of school group attendance, which could impact your visit. Today's school group traffic is expected to be MODERATE. To avoid these groups, plan your visit later in the day! Schools typically depart the building by 2:00 pm.

  • Pint Size Science (PSS) classes provide stepping stones for early learners to explore science topics and help parents/caregivers feel more confident being a STEM coach for their child.

PSS: Toddler Edition is designed for little learners ages 22 months to 3 years.

This week's theme is Liquids & Gases that Go "Boom!", a part of the two-month Colorful Chemistry series.

  • Young visitors can explore how the human body works with a large, soft sculpture doll.

  • Put your engineering skills to the test as you compete in brick building challenges!

  • Meet and get the chance to touch some of SCI’s resident reptiles and amphibians.

  • Have you ever wondered what Snippy the Snapping Turtle eats? Come check out a feeding demonstration of one of SCI’s most ravenous reptiles! The snapping turtle feeding may be too intense for some visitors.

  • Locate constellations and planets, and hear myths of the night sky in this live planetarium program. Program and location subject to change.

  • Get chills and thrills from dry ice and liquid nitrogen!

  • Kick off your weekend at $5 Family Night! On the second Friday of every month, we're open late, and admission is just $5 per person from 5:00-8:00 pm!
