    Join us for a 5-week journey where curiosity meets agriculture! From seeds and soil to bugs and robots, learners will dig in, experiment, and explore how science and technology shape the future of farming.

    Each week brings a new theme packed with discovery, creativity, and hands-on fun!

    October 16: Getting Dirty! - Grab a magnifying glass and investigate what’s hiding in the soil beneath our feet.

    Workshops are held for children, ages 3–5 years old with a caring adult, from 9:15–10:15 AM on Thursdays in October.

  • Our youngest visitors can bring their imaginations as an SCI Programs Team member reads under the starry skies.

    October 16: Getting Dirty! - Grab a magnifying glass and investigate what’s hiding in the soil beneath our feet.

    Workshops are held for students, ages 5-14 years old (Kindergarten - 8th grade), from 11:00 AM-Noon on Thursdays in October. Registration includes two concurrent workshops, one for youth and one for their parents/caregivers, exploring the day's theme.

  • Learn to navigate the starry night skies and find exotic, hidden Deep Sky Objects. Program and location subject to change.

  • Have you ever wondered what Snippy the Snapping Turtle eats? Come check out a feeding demonstration of one of SCI’s most ravenous reptiles! The snapping turtle feeding may be too intense for some visitors.

  • Locate constellations and planets, and hear myths of the night sky in this live planetarium program. Program and location subject to change.

  • Get chills and thrills from cryogenic demonstrations.

  • Experience one of the most mysterious — and misunderstood — wonders of the Universe. Narrated by Liam Neeson. Sponsored by NASA. Program and location subject to change.
